Today I decided to cook a meal that always takes me back to my childhood. Everyone from my Grandfather, to Grandmother, to Mother would make this, and I used to sit back and wait to dig in.
I'm talking about the good ole' American Cheese Burger. What a classic meal this sandwich is. When I make this meal my family come ah running. My daughters love bacon and my wife loves onions, and you know how bacon and onions can make your home smell. So, there isn't much to talk about I'll be giving you my ingredients along with some pictures. I hope you will give it a try a tell me how you like it.
Ingredients For the Burger
Mortons Salt Lettuce
Badia Fresh Black Pepper Whole Wheat Bread
McCormick Garlic Pepper 2 Slices of Cheese
1 Onion
4 Slices of Thick Bacon
Ingredients For Special Sauce
2tbls of Hellman's Mayo
2tbls of Jack Daniels Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce
1tsp of Honey
Mix these ingredients together and spread on bread, I like to toast my bread just a little but that's optional. Once again, give this burger a try and share your thoughts with me. Enjoy!
